The automatic level tracking system for submersible mixers (hereinafter: level tracker), was designed to improve liquid mixing, and to automate the raising and lowering of mixers according to the filling and emptying level of any type of tank. In particular, its use is very useful in feed pre-tanks and secondary digesters of biogas plants, in livestock slurry storage tanks, in wastewater treatment tanks, and in many industrial applications where mixers must be moved according to the tank filling level.

The level tracker’s operation is based on constant monitoring of the liquid level inside the tank, and on sending this data to a control unit that processes it, then driving the electromechanical mixer handling system so that it always keeps it at a precise depth relative to the liquid free surface.

The possibility to set the mixer depth level allows the user to choose whether to keep the agitator just below the liquid free surface, for example to prevent the formation of floating layers, or to keep it halfway through the mass to be mixed; it also allows the mixer position to be changed daily in those tanks which, like primary digesters in biogas plants, always remain full but require a daily variation of the mixers’ position, to keep the contents well mixed and homogeneous.

The level tracker can be installed to serve all types of electric or hydraulic submersible mixers and, being programmable, it maintains its functionality even if the agitator is replaced with others of a different brand.

Depending on the intended use, it can also be supplied with Atex Certification.
